Eckington School features in Police and Crime Commissioner video!

The 1625 programme is an outreach workshop specialising in drug and alcohol safety information and support for young people.  It featured as part of Eckington School’s ‘Staying Safe’ day for Y11 students this year.  The young people attend a workshop lead by youth drug and alcohol specialists and then the students take a visit to the 1625 van.

The programme has been commissioned by Derbyshire’s Police and Crime Commissioner and Derbyshire County Council.  We were very lucky to receive a visit by PCC Dhindsa to see the great support being offered to Eckington students.

Students really enjoyed the experience and learned a lot of valuable lessons about making safe and healthy choices in later life.
