MP, Lee Rowley, visits Eckington School

On Friday 17th May, 2019, Eckington School was lucky enough to have a visit from their local Member of Parliament, Lee Rowley. Lee also brought with him a number of colleagues, including a representative of the County Council and the local Council.

Lee talked to students about what it means to be a Member of Parliament and what his work entails. He also talked about the importance of politics. Students were able to ask him questions about his life and career as well as questions about Brexit and about whether he would like to be Prime Minister!

The school is incredibly grateful to Lee and his colleagues for coming into Eckington School, and we look forward to seeing them again in the near future. We are also excited by the opportunity for some of our students to see Lee when they visit the House of Parliament later in the year.
